A father of two teenagers and three dogs, he nurtures a garden bigger than his own house. He wears his emotions unabashedly as his crown. Has the habit of undertaking responsibilities way above the resources he has in hand. His credo – don’t expect anyone else to do it when you are not doing it.

WORK

JP Jagdev is an IT entrepreneur based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He currently is the MD and CEO of Parameter Softwares (P) Ltd. which he had promoted in the year 1991.

His enterprise conducts its business under three main verticals namely, IT, ITeS, and Management Advisory Services. It undertakes Software Development, it has many KPO and BPO processes, and undertakes organization development and change management assignments under their advisory services.

In their decades of existence, they have worked mostly with the govt and semi-government organizations for various reform initiatives like Energy, Land Records, Treasury Automation, and Governance projects like Aadhar. 

He has worked mostly for the government and in the sectors like Energy both conventional and renewable, agriculture, water and sanitation, health, and planning.

RESEARCH

His uses his own assignments and projects for his action research.

His research works are in Governance and Public Policy area in general and his specific aim is now how to ensure Policy intentions are turned into results by adopting innovative Policy Support Programs which in its scope considers Policy Preparation, Policy Tracking involving performance monitoring, problem-solving, and progress assessing, Implementation Support, Managing and Regulating, Problem Solving and Capacity Building and Implementation Review especially in the sustainability space.

He works in the cross-section of IT, Governance, and Public Policy on issues concerning sustainability, circular economy, climate change, SDG, Responsible Business, Stakeholder Engagement, and public welfare.

He gets invited to various conferences organized by the Govt and UN agencies to talk about this work. His success cases have found acceptance in Govt policy guidelines. His research collaborations are with The University of Auckland on SDG.

ACADEMIC

He as a Visiting Professor offers two courses in the XIM Univeristy, Bhubaneswar.

At the School of Commerce, he offers the Industrial Employmet Relations Course and in the School of Sustainability he offers Circular Economy Business Model Innovation under their Capstone Programme. 

PASSION

He is passionate about preserving heritage culture of his home state. He is the President of Udaygiri Foundation, a non-profit which works in the area of language preservation. It feels that languages can be enriched by improving its usage. Language, spoken and written has to be aggressively enhanced to make it contemporary.
